Supermodel Naomi Campbell was arrested for hitting her housekeeper with a crystal-encrusted Blackberry.

The altercation happened earlier that morning when Naomi was preparing for a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show at her Park Avenue apartment. As she was getting ready, she couldn’t find a $200 pair of Chip & Pepper jeans that she wanted to wear and asked her housekeeper Ana Scolavino where they were. Ana didn’t know, causing Naomi to scream that she was a “fucking bitch” and then hurled the phone at Ana’s head.

Naomi reportedly told her staff to tell the cops that Ana had hurt herself falling, but at Lenox Hill Hospital Ana told cops that Naomi had hit her. When officers arrived at Naomi’s apartment, she told them that she had no idea what they were talking about and showed them a flip-phone as “proof” that Ana’s story wasn’t true.

Naomi was taken to the Midtown North Precinct where she was questioned for hours, and hid her handcuffs under a poncho. She later told the press that Ana was trying to “extort” her. Ana fired back saying that wasn’t true, and that she had no idea of Naomi’s abusive past until the building doorman warned her one day to be “very careful.” Naomi was charged with felony second-degree assault.

The following January she pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, but maintained that the incident was an “accident.” She was sentenced to anger management classes, community service, and to pay Ana’s hospital bills.

As for the Blackberry, it was never recovered - and in a 2010 Oprah interview, Naomi claimed it was never even crystal-encrusted. Chip & Pepper, however, caught wind of Naomi’s attack and dedicated a shirt to her:
