Our favorite ‘00s it-girl was hospitalized (Well, my favorite) - this is not 2009 and it’s not a drill!
TMZ is reporting that Mischa Barton was hospitalized this morning for mental evaluation after neighbors and friends became concerned about her wellbeing. Apparently she was spotted hanging over her backyard fence in WeHo, rambling about her mom being a witch, the world shattering, and Ziggy Stardust - she was probably talking about her adorable dog Ziggy and TMZ just didn’t get the reference:
At one point she fell backward off the fence and said, “Oh my god, it’s over! I feel it, and it’s angry!” Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters responded to a call for a jumper or possible overdose.
Her 31st birthday was Tuesday, and as you guys know, this wasn’t the first time she’s been hospitalized. In July 2009 she was 5150’d - which she later blamed on a botched wisdom tooth surgery - and in May 2007 she was hospitalized for an overdose at Nicole Richie/Masha Gordon’s Memorial Day party… which her reps wrote off as an “adverse reaction to medication.” The Charlie Sheen excuse. Anyways, I’ve been rooting for a Coop comeback since the day she was killed off The O.C. and I’m still not going to give up hope.
