TMZ reported it, her reps denied it, but recent evidence suggests otherwise!
TMZ reported yesterday that the one, the only, the legend, the icon, the beauty, the modern day Liz Taylor - Lindsay Dee Lohan - is ENGAGED. Yes, you read that right. At first I was cautious to believe it, since there’s been rumors of Lindsay getting engaged to everybody from Sam Ronson to Jared Leto in the past; Lindsay’s reps even called bogus on this recent engagement news to People, but after spotting a certain ring on her finger at the Duran Duran show at the Barclays Center last night, I’m now a believer:

Anyways, Lindsay’s come a long way since her early romances, so I think it’s only fitting to give Lilo the Mary-Kate treatment and take a look at the ghosts of relationships past. I didn’t bother including her many celeb-filled one night stands over the years since the sheer amount of stories and lurid Page Six sightings could fill up a novel rivaling Tolstoy’s.
~RELATIONSHIP HISTORY~
Aaron Carter (2002)
Lindsay’s relationship with Aaron was one of her earliest controversies, not because she stooped as low as Aaron Carter, but because she snatched him up from fellow Disney star Hilary Duff!
Eventually Aaron went back to Hilary, but the love triangle left a nasty rift between the two girls for years to come!
Wilmer Valderrama (2004)
These two were first spotted together in May 2004, but the 24-year-old Wilmer waited to make things public with 17-year-old Lindsay on her 18th birthday.
Ah, the classic tale of the Hollywood sleaze. The two quickly were spotted all over the Hollywood club scene alongside Paris and Bijou, but they toned down the scandal factor by exchanging promise rings. Eventually the two split in November - only weeks after Lindsay’s cameo on That ‘70s Show. While I hate Wilmer, I’m grateful he inspired the pop music masterpiece Over:
Jared Leto (2005)
Lindsay’s fling with Jared was a secret for the most part, well, secret as in they never officially went public with it. The media, though, did keep close tabs on their fling throughout the fall of 2005 and even suggested they were getting hitched, but eventually they parted ways - but stayed close professionally as the following year they worked on Chapter 26 together. In an interview from later that year, Lindsay admitted that the biggest issue between them was the paparazzi.
Paris Hilton (???)
This pairing is a mystery for the most part. Speculation has risen over the years that the one-time best friends were actually having a fling back in the day. Reports claimed that Lindsay caught feelings, while Paris only kept her around for shits and giggles. By the spring of 2006 the girls were in a nasty tiff that #allegedly stemmed from Lindsay’s broken heart. While their longtime feud has welcomed brief moments of ceasefire, as of now the girls definitely hate each other - but I’ll explore this infamous rivalry in a future post I have cooking up.
Jamie Burke (2006)
Lindsay had a brief romance with Kate Moss’ ex in the spring of 2006 after meeting him at a nightclub a few months earlier. The two were photographed kissing out in Manhattan, but they never got serious. They were photographed together once again that October.
Harry Morton (2006)
Lindsay was first spotted frolicking on the beach with the Hard Rock heir in July 2006, and it wasn’t long before they were traveling the world together!
From London to Venice, they were nearly inseparable, and rumors even spread that the two were engaged. But alas, their romance came to an end in September. In 2009, Harry admitted he was “embarrassed” by the relationship - and even denied it was a relationship in the first place. Uhh, whatever helps you sleep at night.
Calum Best (2007)
2007 was not a good year for many celebrities, especially Lindsay. Fresh off her first stint in rehab, Lindsay was struggling to keep her career (and life) together, but decided to give love another chance. Even though Lindsay was spotted with Calum for the first time the previous fall, the two didn’t become an item until May.
Quickly they were spotted everywhere from Manhattan to the Bahamas:
But they split after she caught Calum cheating on her. He later described their relationship was one of the “worst moments” of his life. Classy.
Riley Giles (2007)
Is there a better place to meet a future beau than in rehab? Actually, there’s many - but don’t tell Lilo that! During her stint at Cirque Lodge, she met an already committed Riley and decided to give him a shot. For the rest of that fall the two were nearly inseparable, but they eventually split after Thanksgiving weekend.

Courtenay Semel (2007 - 2008)
While this one is more of a rumor than a fact, I love rumors.mp3 so let’s talk about it anyways. Lindsay and the Yahoo! heiress met at a Malibu bash in 2006 and were frequently spotted together afterwards.
By 2007, Courtenay was reportedly writing a rehab-bound Lindsay love letters and that fall the two reportedly purchased a house together. But things turned sour fast and by winter’s end the girls were dunzo - allegedly due to Lindsay’s refusal to come out. The girls remain friends to this day, though, and were even photographed vacationing together this past January.
Heath Ledger (2008)
While the details of their romance are still fuzzy, I’ll take White Oprah’s word on this one. Apparently Lindsay and Heath were seeing each other at the time of his death in January 2008. She later included him in her infamous list of lovers, but I’ll remember their supposed romance best due to this tweet:
Samantha Ronson (2008 - 2009)
*my favorite lilo relationship*Despite Lindsay knowing Sam since 2004 (remember when she was featured on the Mean Girls soundtrack?) the two didn’t officially become an item until 2008. While they initially played it coy, and the media gave them the classic label of “gal pals”, by the summer they couldn’t deny their love any longer and they became Hollywood’s most-talked-about couple.
By the end of 2008, rumors spread that the two were getting ready to walk down the aisle, but the following year welcomed tear-filled shouting matches in front of the paparazzi and restraining orders. While that was their official end, they were still spotted together a few more times in the following years.
Max George (2012)
While these two weren’t that serious, they did stick together for quite some time in late 2012 as Lindsay trailed The Wanted from concert to concert. It was even reported that Max introduced her to his parents, but the fun was short-lived and by 2013 they were over.
Matt Nordgren (2013)
Despite being friends for years, they officially became an item in the fall of 2013 after Lindsay finished another rehab stint, but the romance was brief as they both had busy schedules to attend to. And while some media outlets claimed it was his baby that she admitted to miscarrying in her OWN special the following year, I can confirm that it was not.
Morgan O'Connor (2013)
After her brief courtship with Matt, Lindsay decided to find a new boy - this time way younger than her. Page Six reported the then 27-year-old Lindsay and 18-year-old Morgan were hanging out at 1Oak shortly before Halloween, and they seemed awfully flirty. Their rumored romance lasted all the way through December, culminating in an alleged fight in which Lindsay stormed into his NYC hotel room to find a gaggle of teenage girls, one of whom she berated for wearing fake Balmain jeans. Eventually Morgan dumped her for being a total teenage drama queen… even as she was pushing 30.
Egor Tarabasov (2015 - )
Reports claim that Lindsay met her current mega-rich beau at a party in London last year through a mutual friend. Egor’s the son of businessman Dimitry Tarabasov who - according to Page Six - owns a construction firm and stores similar to Home Depot in Moscow. Egor owns the U.K. real estate agency Home House Estates and is a shareholder of Moscow’s Ivy Bank, too. All of this, however, can’t be verified. I’ve heard rumors that he’s part of the Russian mob - but I want to stay alive so let’s skip past that. ANYWAYS, his romance with our girl Linds first became apparent through her Insta posts in recent months:
Over the holidays Lindsay took him to NYC to meet the rest of the Lohan clan, and he even earned their stamp of approval. Dina told Us Weekly: “Yes, he is cute. He’s a sweetheart. No, he’s just a really good person. And the tabloids are like, 'Oh, he’s so much younger.’ But he’s very mature, very worldly. They love each other.” Michael also approved, telling Page Six: “He’s wise beyond his years. He’s not a good influence, he’s a great influence.” Egor and Lindsay even moved in together!
Fast forward to yesterday, TMZ published a report claiming that Egor popped the question to Lindsay over the weekend, and that she said yes! I was cautious, though, and decided not to post about it right away since there was a fair chance it was just Harvey Levin trying to score page hits and there wasn’t any truth to it. Late yesterday Lindsay’s reps confirmed to People that it wasn’t true, but my fellow Lilo fans and I (so basically 3 people) were wondering - maybe it is true and she’s just waiting to score a paycheck for a magazine spread on it? It’s totally plausible since why would you waste your engagement announcement on TMZ of all places? *Megyn Kelly voice* Doesn’t make any sense does it? But alas the validity of Lindsay’s reps came into question once she started showing off her new rock:

And while she hasn’t copped up to the engagement yet, I have a feeling it’s true and she’s just milking this a little. No shame in the game Linds! The second she goes public with it, though, PCD2009 will be on full Lilo wedding watch. I’ll have to start saving my coins so I can get a helicopter trailing over the Lohan estate in Merrick!
