Scientology is insane.

So you know me, I was casually scrolling through my Twitter feed, not minding my own business, when Nancy Grace (Don’t ask) retweeted an article with the phrases: “Danny Masterson” and “rape.” This caught my eye for several reasons:
1). I’m Bijou Phillips’ only stan (Tart is my guilty pleasure movie, okay? It even had young Coop!).
2). Scientology, duh.
3). I’ve always hated this freak.
So here we are, probably sending David Miscavige into a tizzy.
This morning, anti-Scientology blog The Underground Bunkerpublished a report that it’d obtained documents showing that the LAPD has been investigating Hyde in at least three alleged cases of rape or sodomy of fellow Scientologists, and apparently Xenu told them to keep their mouths shut - go figure!
So far:
- Hyde’s attorney Marty Singer says he doesn’t have a clue about any investigation.
- LAPD Chief Charlie Beck hasn’t responded to the blog owner’s email about the case.
- Scientology spokeswoman Karin Pouw hasn’t said a peep.
- Hyde’s publicist Jenni Weinman said she’d call Tony Ortega back… but never did.
American hero Leah Remini, however, told the blog that she’d encouraged one of the victims to file a police report for the incident which occurred in December 2001:
Soon after, Leah heard from two other victims - the first of which filed a report in 2004 after her rape occurred the year prior, but the investigation was shut down after fellow Scientologists attacked her testimony:
The second victim’s case has been reopened, though, because of Leah’s involvement. The first victim told LAPD Chief Charlie Beck:
“They threatened me that if I ever told anyone or reported him to the police that I would be declared a ‘suppressive person’ and lose everything and everyone. Then they put me on a massive ethics program as punishment. My rapist was not punished at all. They didn’t even call him to talk about it. I ended up breaking up with him two months later.”
But because of the LAPD’s close relationship with Scientology, the right shit isn’t being done. You can read the full story at the blog I linked above. I’ll keep you kids updated with the latest… if Xenu doesn’t shove me into the subway tracks before my next class.

- Hyde’s rep Jenni Weinman is coming to the defense. She just issued a statement to GossipCop claiming the first victim’s story is bogus:
“We are aware of Chrissie Carnell’s 16-year-old allegations. It was only after Chrissie Carnell was in contact with Leah Remini that she made allegations of sexual assault by Mr. Masterson. The alleged incident occurred in the middle of their 6 year relationship, after which she continued to be his longtime girlfriend. Significantly, during their relationship she made numerous inconsistent claims that she was previously raped by at least 3 other famous actors and musicians. When Danny ended the relationship she continued to pursue him, even making threats to beat up his current wife Bijou Phillips unless she left him. In fact, we are informed by the Church that the only demand Chrissie Carnell made of the Church after Danny broke up with her was asking for their help to intervene so the breakup would not be permanent.”
Jenni also addressed the other accusation against the washed-up actor, made “approximately 14 years ago,” adding, “the LAPD interviewed numerous witnesses and determined the claim had no merit Based on reading the anti-Scientology blog that posted this story, these false allegations appear to be motivated to boost Leah Remini’s anti-Scientology television series.”
Uhh, did those “numerous witnesses” have an Alien tattooed on their ass and a DVD copy of Top Gun next to their E-Meter? Give me a break. Also, it’s interesting to note how Hyde’s statement explicitly names the victim, instead of preserving her anonymity like Tony Ortega’s initial report did. What an asshole. But when I did search Chrissie’s name on Google, I stumbled onto a forum for ex-Scientologists, and they had a short thread dedicated to her departure from last November:
Also, The Underground Bunker pointed out that Hyde’s rep was even listed as a witness in the second victim’s police report… and supposedly was the one who brought the victim to Danny’s house the night of the rape:
Yep, an actor’s fucking publicist is a totally reliable witness - enough so for the case to be dismissed entirely.
- The LAPD also confirmed in a statement that there has been an ongoing investigation into Hyde’s sleaziness:
“The Los Angeles Police Department Robbery Homicide Division, Sexual Assault Section, is conducting an investigation involving the actor Danny Masterson. Three women have come forward and disclosed that they were sexually assaulted by Masterson during the early 2000’s.”
- The Bunker also posted a friendly reminder of Danny’s old DJ alter ego “DJ Donkey Punch”:
According to Google: “The Donkey Punch is a relatively simple maneuver. When engaged in anal sex from behind, simply punch your partner in the back of the neck so that the sphincter clenches up.”
